From Classroom to Canvas: The Story of 2 Coats Painting

For years, teaching was my calling. I poured myself into the classroom—guiding students, breaking down complex ideas, and helping them see the world in new ways. Teaching taught me patience, attention to detail, and the value of a job done thoroughly. But outside the school walls, I found myself reaching for brushes and rollers, applying the same care and discipline to transforming spaces as I did to shaping young minds.

What began as a personal passion—painting homes for friends and family—grew into something larger. I discovered that painting carries a lot of the same lessons as teaching: preparation is everything, the process matters as much as the result, and you don’t rush through the foundations if you want lasting success.

With that in mind, I founded 2 Coats Painting. The name itself is a nod to both quality and principle—because just like in education, one pass is never enough. Real transformation takes time, layers, and commitment. At 2 Coats Painting, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, clear communication, and treating every project as if it were our own home.

From classrooms to living rooms, I’ve dedicated my life to building brighter spaces. Today, that mission continues—only now, instead of chalkboards and lesson plans, it’s walls and finishes that tell the story.
